Thank you to everyone that attended the K-3 concert last night. It was very well attended and the support for the students was wonderful. I wanted to let you know that I would be unable to attend tonight’s concert so I can attend an event at one of my son’s school. Mrs. Romein will be in attendance tonight and will oversee the concert. I know the students will do a wonderful job.
As we progress along to the end of the year, I wanted to remind you of Spring Fling and Field Day being June 17th. As always, this will be a fun-filled day for the students and is the perfect opportunity for students to celebrate the end of the year. Next week is going to be a very busy week for third and fourth grade students as the 2014-2015 Artist in Residence, Bill Whiteman, will be working with students to create a musical and visual performance of the history of Dunbarton. It is sure to be a hit!
Just a reminder that the 6th grade promotional ceremony will be Monday,June 15th at 6:30 in the community center. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the successes of this great class. I am truly looking forward to it.The last day of school will be Thursday, June 18th and dismissal will be at 12:15.
Below, I have included with this email two notices: one for volunteers for the bathroom renovation and one for a new school board member. On a related note, I wanted to personally thank Rene Ouellet for his years of service as a Dunbarton school board member. Mr. Ouellett did a wonderful job representing the town and always struck a sensible balance between the needs of the town and the needs of the Dunbarton youth. We will definitely miss his calm, cool demeanor and consistent support for the betterment of DES.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher(s) or any of us in the office.
